A Holiday Maternity Shoot Downtown / The Olmsteads

I first met these two on their wedding day, so getting to photograph them again; this time for a maternity session... felt easy in the best way.

This indoor studio maternity shoot was all about keeping things simple. Seattle weather does what it wants, so studio sessions are a great option for maternity photos that feel clean, relaxed, and timeless without worrying about rain or light. The focus stayed on connection, movement, and those in-between moments that don’t need much direction.

One of my favorite parts of being a Seattle maternity photographer is getting to work with clients over time. Seeing familiar faces come back in a completely new season never gets old, and it always makes the session feel more natural and less like a performance.

This shoot was calm, fun, and very them and proof that maternity photos don’t have to feel overly styled or serious to be meaningful.
