Seattle In-Home Newborn Session / Liz, Bryan, Baby Leo, and Griffey

In-home newborn sessions always have a way of feeling natural and unhurried, and this one with Liz and Bryan welcoming their son Leo was exactly that. Their home had this calm, quiet energy that made the whole session feel easy.

Leo was content and cozy, giving us those little stretches and sleepy moments that only newborns can pull off. Griffey, their dog (and now very proud big brother), never strayed far—clearly convinced that part of his new job description is keeping watch over the baby.

Spending the morning with them made me almost forget the reality of newborn life and briefly wonder if I should have a few more kids myself. (Then I remembered the diapers, 3 a.m. wake-ups, and that season of life where “hot coffee” is just a dream—so, I’ll happily stick to photographing other people’s babies.)

Sometimes the best family photos really do happen right at home—this session was the perfect reminder of that.
