A Coastal Wedding in Steilacoom, WA / The Reeds

There’s something magical about weddings by the water, and this gorgeous day in Steilacoom, Washington, was no exception. Just outside of Seattle, this quaint seaside town set the perfect scene for a day filled with love, laughter, and family for Emily and Kyle's wedding day. As a wedding photographer, I see a lot of incredible venues... but this one has got to be up there with some of my favorites. Probably because mother nature did all the work!

The morning for the girls began with mimosas, music, and lots of smiles and stories at an incredible home right on the water. The couples adorable daughter of course joined the ladies and the energy in the room was filled with excitement and warmth as everyone prepared for the day ahead. These are some of my favorite moments to capture and I cant tell you how special it is to witness.

The ceremony took place outdoors, overlooking the stunning Puget Sound. With the sun glistening on the water and a gentle breeze in the air, it was a breathtaking backdrop for two people promising forever. Every moment felt authentic, emotional, and full of joy. I may or may not have shed a few tears during the exchanging of vows....

After the ceremony, we made our way to Historic 1625 in Tacoma for the reception of all receptions... a perfect blend of industrial charm and modern elegance. The evening was bursting with energy: incredible food, laughter echoing across the dance floor, and heartfelt connections between friends and family. We danced our hearts out, celebrated love, and created memories that will last a lifetime.

This day was a true reflection of what a wedding should be.
